Our Pilots have between them a vast wealth of knowledge and experience with very diverse careers within the aviation industry.
Obtained a Grade 1 Instructor Rating 1981. Currently working for Hempels Aviation Started his aviation career in 1975 Began Crop Dusting 1983 Now specializes in Aerobatic Training, Low Level Aerobatic Waivers,
Aerobatic Coaching, Airshows, Tailwheel Endorsements and general flight
instruction. Mal became the Australian Aerobatic Champion (Unlimited Category)
1989 through to 1992 Involved in the World Aerobatic Competitions, 1980, 1982, 1984, 1994, 1998
Currently holds a Private Pilots Licence, Senior Instructor Rating and Level 2 Maintenance Certificate with the Australian Ultralight Federation. His career spans over 40 years with Bush Flying skills honed in the Simpson Desert, flying direct from Alice Spring's to Port Headland in an Auster Auotcar in 1967, along the Strezlackie Track the Moomba Gas Fields, the Fink and many more outback destinations of Australia to name a few of the places working with the American Oil Rigs through the 60's and 70's and having his own Earthmoving business through to the 80's. His nickname was Auster Artie for many years. Artie's skills are in handling the aircraft on or near the ground and being able put HIS aircraft where HE wants it.
Currently holds a Private Pilots Licence obtained in 1979 and a Chief Flying Instructor Rating with the Australian Ultralight Federation for the last eight years. Tracy has had the privilege of once obtaining her licence then being taught and shown the trade secrets from her father Artie Hearne and her partner Mal Beard.
